Hopefully Liam can have a good week here. I note over the weeks and months quite a number of expressions that Liam's form is returning / will return without to me a huge amount of ongoing evidence, so hopefully more will appear. For now it appears stable at a level he would I imagine wish to be above - ie. he's not generally looked like a top 200 player for over a year now.

Interestingly it was the 3 set loss to Krueger last year that seemed to be the start of Liam's struggles. I remember watching the live stream and after Liam took the first set without breaking a sweat thinking it was all over only for Liam to collapse. Would be nice if a match against the same opponent could be the catalyst for a sustained improvement in form.
That ends a pretty underwhelming 4 week stint in North America. While his results haven't exactly been awful, he has lost to decent players every week, he doesn't seem anywhere the near the kind of form that suggests he will be surging up the rankings over the coming months. He hasn't entered anything for the next 2 weeks and after that it looks like qualifying at the Sarasota challenger (presumably followed by the same in Tallahassee and Savannah).
It is all getting rather worrying but without the resources to hire a top coach to work with him full time it is hard to see how he can make significant improvements to where he is now. Very frustrating as I still think the basis of a top 100 player is there.
