And won't do her any harm to close out another three setter when not playing at her best. She has generally been playing decent to very good all year, and can find better form again, but closing out matches and some three setters getting away was seemingly an issue.

I'm looking forward to this match. No pressure on Hev, and the way the two are playing, a W is not out of the question.
Meanwhile, on paper I'm with Jo in her match, but Vesnina's no slouch and I have no clue how she's playing at the mo.
Quality stuff.
Jo held 1st game from *0-40
Jo serving well and needs to because Vesnina looks in very rich vein of form, really aggressive and fearless, every shot is probing for an opening.
3-2*
Reality is, Jo did pretty well to get 4 games. Vesnina in some sort of magical place.
Could cut out some UE, and up the 1st serve %, but Jo played plenty of good stuff which Elena just swatted nonchalantly aside.
