And the worse thing, SC, about those names is that they seem to be getting worse each time (assuming they're in chronological order).
So Poppy Honey is just about acceptable, Daisy Boo is on the edge (maybe people will think Boo is some old family name), Petal Blossom is just silly, and Buddy Bear is downright embarrassing and suggests the social services need to be called in for child cruelty.
Which obviously means that child number 5 should be taken away from them at birth, registered Anne or David as gender would dictate, and then returned, with a card around its neck, saying 'now just love me, even with a sensible name'.

They are - 14, 12, six & five respectively. BB, by the way, in case you hadn't guessed, is the only boy - so far... Perhaps they seem perfectly, er, normal to the denizens of the circles in which the Olivers move. Julia Bradbury, for example (not that I'm saying that she & her partner are bosom buddies with the Olivers. I have absolutely no idea whether that's the case. I'm just assuming "luvvies"...), has three children, a boy named, wait for it, Zephyrus & twin girls called Xanthe & Zena (bit of a Greek theme there, I think!). I suppose Zena's OK, as is Poppy on its own, for that matter, though I wouldn't choose either myself, but the others just about beggar belief.
Agreed. Barring injury or other disaster, this wunderkind looks very likely to be joining the top 100 in short order. Mr Bedene has done well to get through.
SC, for what it's worth, as the history of language is a bit of an interest (like county boundaries), I did a quick google search of "Frances" in the context of assorted West African countries, and Mr Tiafoe is far from the only man of West African origin or heritage to have his name spelled with an 'e'. So maybe it's partially about regional variations. On the other hand, as you say, some of the other names you cited seem really unkind to the children burdened with them. Perhaps parents should be required to spend a week using the names they propose for their children, to see how it feels ...

My wife is of South African/Portuguese origin and her middle name is Francis. I try to keep quiet about it.
Well done Aljaz! That win will look a lot better on paper in a couple of years time than it does now. Good to see the Brits continuing to rack up the wins against the prodigees.
