With regards to the Warwickshire comment, Solihull is in West Midlands anyway.

Both Lloyd and Dan are from within the Brum-ooo-dah triangle M42/M5/M6.

Even Warwickshire county cricket club have abandoned their county and rebadged themselves as the Birmingum Bears.

As those from Dudley will tell you better a Pear than a Bear! That said I have absolutely no problems following Brummies and until their mums tell me otherwise Brummies they are.

Good luck to them both

Ed should be on at 22:30. As the Doubles on before hasn't happened due to a W/O.

Looks like a tournament win would take Dan pretty close to a career high ranking but not quite there. 124 at best.

Ed got the first break chance. Played too short and allowed Danc. to hit a winner.

Constructed another chance really nicely and played a great point to get it.

Now to serve for the set....

Lost the first point and then won the next four, playing lovely positive tennis.

First set to Ed, 6-3

Very solid stuff, serving well and getting to the net quickly and finishing off the point.

As ordered smile

Ed broke in the first game. Then held. Dancevic has now won a game but that was 5 in a row he lost.

the crowd are trying to galvanise their player, and having a little success.

But he played a poor game there, and Ed had a couple of chances to break, and/or to force even more break points, and didn;t manage to do it (chose the right shot twice but missed one by a little and one by a lot). Shame as that would have about ended the match.

But *3-2, still with the break.
