RE: Week 11 - Challenger ($50,000+H) - Drummondville, Canada (hard)

QF:  (2) James Cerretani & Max Schnur (USA/USA) CR 414 (124+290) defeated Luke Bambridge & Liam Broady CR 703 (302+401) by 3-6 6-3 [14-12]

That looks like quite a battle! hmm

That's a very decent scoreline against a strong team: James Cerretani must be looking to get back onto the main tour, and Max Schnur has made extremely good progress for someone who's only been playing for less than a year professionally. (He and a partner from Columbia University did win the US university national doubles championships a few years ago, though, so it's not an enormous surprise)

As did Lloyd Glasspool last year

Indeed. And Dom Inglot before that. It's often a harbinger of good things to come. (Although I think some may have been indoor and some outdoor. I get quite confused about all the different championships; there seem to be quite a lot)

Dan's the top ranked player left in the draw now... Cracking opportunity

Currently warming up for the singles by playing each other in the dubs!

One break apiece....3-4

Dan's not a natural doubles player, bless him.....

But it's good to see them playing together. Lloyd seems to have a small black support thing on his forearm (could just be a large wristband) but certainly doesn't seem to have much of an arm injury in his play.

Evans/Glasspool lost the first set 4/6 and are about to play a second set tiebreak

Good win, but credit to Lloyd who virtually won it on his own.
If he can find the right partner, he could go along way.

Evo was only there to serve and return.....

QF:  Frank Dancevic (CAN) WR 243 (CH = 65 in September 2007 - he's 31) vs (LL) Ed Corrie WR 532

I fear Dancevic will simply have too much for Ed. hmm
