Another excellent display of trademark grit, pushing a player 500+ places ahead of her, in what would have been a good result even at her height, before all the injuries, but no reward for Lisa today.

Katy lost her doubles, but really pleased that she has found some form and made the long trip worthwhile.

Must have half a chance in the next round - at one stage I thought it would be an all GB QF.

Hozumi beat Katy rather handily twice the last time she was in Australia, but hopefully on a different surface and a more in form Katy things will pan out differently this time.
