Really good to see Eden back in the mix but not much chance for anybody while the 10ks are rediculously competative.

I'm thrilled for Eden too.

But one can't say that she suffered from the event being too competitive if she only played someone ranked WTA 1014

Really she should have started in British Tour to get match fitness, but i'm guessing she knew her ranking was about to disappear and was chasing points to keep it intact.

Eden's first 10k in a year so we can't expect her to be at her best - but 202 for first seed is a bit steep. There are no 25k/15k events to keep the top players away - unless you can afford to play in Aus or the Americas. As I said earlier, only the top 3 Brits would make first seed and I don't see they're looking at 10ks.
