Aaron (born 2000) has made it through qualis, in just his second ever junior event (I think).

QR1: Aaron HEPBURN (GBR)     6-1 6-1     Kunaal NAMASHIVAYA (IND)

FQR: Aaron HEPBURN (GBR)     7-5 6-3     Yugo HOMMA (JPN)

 

He's drawn an unseeded, unranked player in the main draw, the very last on the main draw acceptance list. So you can't ask for much better than that. Apart from .....

Liu Hui Retallick is also playing - and has drawn an unranked 14 year-old wildcard - the gods in Brunei seem to be smiling on us smile

A. Hepburn (of the Aaron variety, not the Audrey) has just gone and beaten the 8th seed

Well done, young qualifier !

That'll be his first ITF points (this being a 64-draw)

Also won one round in the doubles and then lost to the third seeds (in a 32-draw)
