Girls: 46th Banana Bowl , Brazil, clay - Grade 1 (Week 10)

Ali and Fran have gone back, so just Emily left

Emily gets a qualifier with little pedigree in round one with the Argentine second seed the likely 2nd Round match. Emily lost to her in three sets in the grade 2 in Agentina

That may be enough to take Emily inside the top 100. Another win will do it.

No joy in the doubles.

The seeding can be a bit random purely because of the rapid progression of some of the younger players, Emily being in the bottom half will dodge McNally and Subhash who are likely to continue feasting on older seeds.

Very exciting to see Emily's progress now she has got her GCSEs out of the way.

Good spot - McNally and Subhash have won two of the earlier matches today (Subhash taking out Argentina G2 winner Krywoj). Emily's result not yet in

Emily beat the young 15yr old Japanese player last week, so a good chance to progress.

Net 60pts gained so far - only doubles points to drop off in near future.

Will move Emily to high 60's in the rankings with more this week and a Grade A next week to come
