Apart from a challenger win in India (more like a futures field) Wards form since Wimbledon has been very poor.

I wonder if he will call it quits at end of the season.

A shame because James' half of the draw had really opened up. That being said my limited expectation for this week dropped further when I discovered this was an indoor tournament.

Well done to Pedja Krstin who is in the final of Puebla today. He has had some good wins along the way including Horacio Zeballos and Benjamin Becker in the semi. He is not British but I am a British coach so it sort of counts.
We are still looking for a sponsor. Pedja will be in the UK to play some team matches for Sutton in April and then for the whole of the grass court season starting with Surbiton. I can offer a potential sponsor guest passes for all the slams and the opportunity to play with him over the summer as well as the usual branding.
If you know of any interest please contact me.

I don't think that's quite fair, Vandenburg (though I'd defend your right to say it to the hilt !!! )

This is not a one-off publicity thing.

Otto posts quite a lot of comments, giving the view of a professional coach, and I find them really interesting.

And he's done a huge lot of good for many GB players.

A small plug for his current player seems perfectly reasonable.

To be like the beeb, we'd all have to pay a license fee. Instead, we tolerate some krap ads at the top of the page (has anyone ever noticed them or intentionally clicked on them?) I appreciate input from people who make their living from tennis, be they players, coaches, agents or even LTA!  Input from catamites selling kitchens is less welcome. I have no problem with aspiring players doing all they can to generate the funds to help them be the best they can be. If I was rich, I'd be quite happy to get my cheque book out....

Thanks for the support guys, but maybe Vandenburg is right and I shouldn't talk about a Serbian player on here. Having said that, like any coach I want to work with the best players possible wherever they come from.
I have worked with British players of a similar level but it is so hard to keep hold of them and i have grown tired of the politics. Maybe I will wait to see if he makes the Davis Cup squad again when Serbia play us in July before mentioning him again.

Otto, you should post what you want to post and let the reader decide whether to read it. It's easy for us to skip over a thread or post if it doesn't interest us, but we don't get the chance to hear from a coach very often, so it's always good to see your input.

Otto, I always enjoy reading what you post and in this case, found it interesting that you were working with this guy. Too often the players are just names on a drawsheet so anything that colours that sheet in is okay by me.
