And after being on the borderline over the last year for Grand Slam entry, after the Aussie Open they had got their ranking into safer pastures. But without a turn around in form it now threatens to go fairly rapidly south with a lot of points to defend in the next few months.

Hope they find that turnaround

Doubles matches are usually closer you don't often get scores like that as a lot of points tend to be random by very nature of the action. A heavy defeat suggests big problems and its not the first time either.

A little bit more complicated in the 2nd set, but overall better than last week, upped the intensity, and served a lot better in what were tricky conditions.

It's been a good night to stay up following the Brits, hasn't it!

Quite funny that wins for Lloyd and JoKo playing on Monday sandwiched wins for Katy and Freya playing on Tuesday

I have a feeling this might be a good week after a few poor weeks. I'm going to go for 4 title winners this week across the tiers for Brits. Egypt, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Australia all good chances.

I don't know if anybody else saw this on Twitter, but this was actually Naomi's second win of the night, not a bad effort by the Stockport lady ;)

Seemed fine to me. Slightly frustrated maybe with the inability of the media to tell apart two players who don't look anything like each other, but I didn't sense any particular animus towards Ms Konta.
