She's now more than last year's IW 120 ranking points ahead of Naomi ( 941 to 807 ).
Great to see this stuff from all our top 3 and I can forget the increasing "mind the gap" for now given it's them increasing it.
All 3 will now certainly be well within the top 100 ( Heather and Naomi guaranteed about WR 80 ) come the French Open entry date so well and truly DAs with Jo almost certainly going to be seeded.

Dominant win for Heather, even if it was against a restricted opponent.
As with her previous two WTA finals Heather faces a much lower ranked opponent than those she has beaten to get there. Flipkens is in a different class to those opponents though, and anyone who beats JoKo these days must be playing well.
Bloomin heckers, with the Davis Cup I had forgotten all about Hev !
Yes bit of tennis fest today, thank goodness DC didn't go to a 5th rubber!!
If Hev wins today I think she becomes the first British player since Sue Barker to win 3 WTA titles (Jo Durie only won 2 despite reaching no. 5). Is this correct?

Yes, I've been hoping I'll get the chance to use that one tonight! Jo Durie and Anne Hobbs won 2 each, Annabel Croft, Sara Gomer, Monique Javer and Clare Wood 1 each. Sue won 11 - she had picked up 3 by 1975 and won her last 3 in 1979(x2) and 1981.
