Brilliant result from Naomi.

Exciting week for British women so far......but we want more!

Is Genie still using her tactic of standing really close in to return serves? Will make it interesting to watch if she is.

Nothing on BBC about the win.

 It's on there now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/35730897

If you look really hard, you might just spot a factual error (edit: one that the BBC spotted pretty quickly)

I have a question for you guys. Tried to research but came back empty. What is the criteria for special exempt ?
I am not sure if it is allowed for tournaments of a higher monetary value or what the rules are with it, if anyone knows and can let me know that would be great.
Always nice to come on here and see so much support!
I am sure when I get my interview done it will shed some insight into how things have been developing.

SEs are only available at International level tournaments, the details are in the WTA rulebook (page 49) http://www.wtatennis.com/SEWTATour-Archive/Archive/AboutTheTour/rules2016.pdf

The fact that it is a long way - 17hr flight might be a concern with the jetlag.

Qualifying starts on 9th March.

Hi Fitzy,

She gets +170 additional ranking points for winning 2 more matches in KL.

In IW, she would need to win 2 qualies, then 4 MD matches before she got more points than this. So forget it, if needs be.

Focus on the moment, coach.
