Alexis enjoys a trek to distant lands doesn't he? Costa Rica, India, Ukraine, Tunisia, now Russia. When I was his age I'd barely even made it as far as France...

R2: (9) Ryan James Storrie def. (WC) Nikita Valentsev (RUS) 7-6(5) 6-1
Not sure 100% but I heard that Ryan is again off traveling on his own.
Now, it's huge credit to him to be able to do that, and to his parents for having the trust to allow him to (must have been well brought up, that lad) but I can't think that there's any other reasonable tennis nation where a top-100 junior is traveling to play a Grade 1 event, in Russia, completely on his own.
LTA - what ARE you doing???????????

Not 100% sure I'm reading the page correctly (I assume the player on top is the player with the first score, i.e. on the left - really think whoever designed that page could do a BETTER job) but:
Congratulations to Ryan for getting himself there. It says a lot about his aspirations and what he is prepared to do to reach them. It is also consistent with the barriers he/his family have overcome to facilitate his development I the past. Having spent a significant amount on the development of OG, every opportunity the LTA can facilitate for Ryan appears excellent value. Good luck to him.
