Today's win guarantees them a net gain of 16 points (at least) on Monday and nothing else to come off until the 1st week in June. So the only way is up from here for the next three months.
The only obstacle now is that they have a full set of scoring events and their lowest scorer is a 29 pointer. So to improve their ranking further, they will have to make Challenger finals or win some ATP matches.
Wouldn't it have been a net gain of 4 points as that 29 pointer is their lowest counter. That 17 they are defending this week is a non counter.
Should be a net gain of 26 now they have made the final rising to 61 if they win the tournament.

It's both They each went their own way at times last year so have different profiles.
Bob's scenario applies to Ken, into this week with 18 counters ( no spares ) and the 17 as his lowest.
Ken in running : 926 + 55 - 17 = 964
wolf's scenario applies to Neal. He went into the week with 19 counters, 17 being his spare and 29 his lowest ranking counter.
Neal in running : 892 + 55 - 29 = 918

Ken will just miss the 1,000 if they win the final, being then on 999 points. That would leave him just behind Jonny Marray, GB #4 and currently WR 78 on 1,003 points.
As has been said, big window for the Skupskis to rise further in the rankings in the coming months if they can maintain their form of late.
The brothers lose the first set 6-4. They played a decently and actually won more points but didn't convert any of the five break points they had (four in one game). On the game they were broken Setkic hit a return winner that was actually out and wasn't called and then Neal missed a regulation volley on the only break point they faced.
What a great 9 months it has been for them, hope they can really get their ranking up these next few months with nothing to defend.
I was looking at why they got zero points March-May last year, funnily enough it was because they didn't win any matches. They lost 7 challengers first rounds in a row, including twice to Messers Bambridge & Broady and also had some tough draws against a couple of more than solid ATP teams like Huey & Lipsky and Haase & Qureshi.
And the hits just keep on coming. What an outstanding start to the year for Ken and Neal. The decision to change their early season tournament selections and start the year in Thailand has really paid dividends.
I really hope that they can take this confidence on for the rest of the year and that it helps them transition up to ATP 250's and 500's etc with similar success.
