I rather think some extra events would be hugely higher up the Brits wishlist than possibly squeezing two more, by definition, very lowly ranked / probably unranked Brits into qualifying, and playing twice in a day
I have heard it said that it saves a night's accomodation. Hmm ...

more likely a day's venue hire and associated costs of putting on the event.
Really good victory, Jack Molloy ! A top 1000 player
Guess the American tomorrow will be a BIG ask.
(Given there are often BYEs, I don't think getting two more Q players in makes an ounce of difference - there's space for them anyway, if they want).
But I feel for Michael Shaw, who's only a youngster, has played three LONG sets, and is expected (in theory) to play another match a couple of hours later.
Super win by Jamie Prad over one of the pesky Americans, 6th seed, Tyler Hochwalt WR 872 !!!
And Marcus Walters got a win over Mick Lescure WR 762, which is less surprising, I think, and something I'd had a friendly wager with a French buddy over (Marcus Walters has a LOT of talent, and Mick is very up and down).
Marzi came through by the skin of his teeth v Gray
Alex Jhun is through.
The others all went the way of the peskies, unfortunately,

Last week it was Italian food. This week it is French. You really do live life to the full CD
it also does seem a bit unbalanced that we have a 48 man qualifying draw, with the qualifying seeds having a bye and lying in wait to play the QR1 winners, who are having their second matches of the day.
Good to see some young Brits overcoming this though. All the best in their FQRs tomorrow.

It was only a drink this time - and, knowing my buddy, he'll have convenient amnesia by the time I see him in summer - SO I have just texted him an official IOU ! From him to me, of course

Good to see Alex Jhun progress, though pity at Marcus's expense. I recall a couple of years or so ago some folk being quite impressed - talented and pretty spikey I seem to recall. Not heard anything much about him in recent times.
Yes, think RJA was quite a fan of Alex Jhun's. He's not a tall guy so it's not easy to excel at tennis but he certainly has a nice game (and a bit of 'character' )
And so Dan Cox is playing doubles with Sean Hodkin (qui?) - someone he's coaching ???
Luke O and Jay Clarke playing together which makes both wildcard picks look more likely.
Marzi has chosen Sarmiento, which might prove a not-so-shabby choice.
