RE: Week 7 - ITF($10k) - The Wirral, UK (Hard)

Beechy being there JUST for Georgie is truly sad (and that's not to be nasty to Georgina).

Thanks again for the reports, p. You're there tomorrow too, yes?

What an up and down game tennis is......

And, Jaffa, interesting (!) and good, of course, that Katie Swan is not all that injured but down at the NTC hitting.

Very good draws for Fran and Emma - shame it's two Brits but both should be pleased with the draw.

Jazzamay obviously gets a kindly one.

Laura D's is very playable, (although not a slamdunk), the girl that Maia thrashed last week.

Lauryn may be hampered by her shoulder injury. The danish girl who plays Savannah has barely won a match for 6 months (not that Savannah is that strong, but all the same). And Lucy's score against the girl last time was very close - here's hoping.

Will be interesting to see Jodie and Harriet....

It was Eden with the shoulder problem - not Lauryn

Believe Jodie has now moved to Virgin Chiswick where Georgie Axon is based and where Beechy is a coach so assume he was there for both of them.  Maybe he wasn't free today and they sent another coach.  The Gosling coach may also have been looking after Mollie as I think she trains there. I have seen her at tournaments though with what appears to be her own 'travelling' coach (ie not a Goslings person).

Mollie had her own coach. Same person who was at Shrewsbury with her.

Who was with Mel?  Not sure I recognise any of those names as being Bath people (maybe Emma Hurst?)

 Emma, Eden and Megan

Didn't realise Megan was there but should have remembered Eden!

Cheers, misunderstood.

Was it Eden's shoulder that played up last August and kept her out for so long? Or a different injury?

I've also seen Mollie with a separate guy (I wondered, in fact, if it was her dad but was more likely her own coach), not a Gosling guy, I'm pretty sure.

So glad that Mel has taken to coaching - seems like a good fit with her character.

You might be right about Chiswick - checked JTC website and 90% certain it was Lucie Ahl (never seen her play - hence the uncertainty)

Well, Katie certainly isn't injured given, as jaffa says, she's training and posting about it:

I'm courtside again, but not courtsiding.....

Maia has coach Smith with her today.

Probably won't post much until later, unless scores fail.

Savannah has switched it on, against the Danish girl who I mentioned has barely won a match.

A long way to go but has just won 5 games in a row. 5-3*
