Week 6 - Azerbaijan F3 ($10,000) - Baku (carpet)

Joe Cooper lost by 3 & 3 to some obscure 17-year-old Uzbek (Sharobiddin Abzalov, UNR) in QR1, but I thought I'd start a thread, as I assume he'll pop up in the doubles.

To defend Joe slightly, I also thought 'who???' when confronted with the 'obscure' Uzbek - and then found out he's the world junior 132 and ex-junior 111, so can't be too shabby....

Well, you didn't get it wrong, SC - it certainly WAS a lousy draw - but they came through and won anyway !!!!

To our new forumite - bravo Joe and good luck in the next one.

Well done to Mr Cooper. That's another rotten draw, though.  Mr Baluda's current ranking is a bit deceptive - I thought I remembered the name, and he has a doubles CH of 115 in 2014. But if you've upset one team that was a rotten draw, why not another? Good luck!

And hurrah to them! That's two really nice wins in a row. Glad that they'll now get points - and the chance for further glory.
