RE: Week 6 - UK F2 ($10,000) - Sunderland(hard - indoor)

Toby will have to come from a set down having lost the breaker 7-4

Toby went 0-3 down in the breaker and never recovered. Then had 2 break points in the first game in the second and went for a bit too much.

Luke v Barry is an exhibition of superb serving so won't be surprised if that's 3
Breakers

Today has the makings of a pretty grim day.....

Just checked out Alexis' opponent (needs must and all) and he seems very spotty/patchy - two very good runs and a lot of first round losses. Allez, junior, another upset would be nice !

Might have jinxed Luke, chucks in a host of second serves and Barry takes advantage.

Toby hanging on just, in the 2nd but now serving *2-5 down. There have been a lot of close games in this match, several with multiple deuces.

Luke lost

Richard really scrapping against the Iti but you just feel like he's gonna get over the line

Toby scrapping away but is going to come up short I think

Pity for Toby but at least he was competitive today. He hasn't had a lot of luck with the draw so far this year. Played twice in Turkey, where he drew the Nš1 & Nš3 seeds, and then drew another seed here this week.

Rich managed to battle his way to a hard earned win beating Vavasorri 7-5 in the 3rd.

This has turned into a very disappointing day - just 4 through and they all have seeds bar Luke in the next round.

Alexis breaks back in the second set for 3-6 *4-4.

Purely on rankings we were due 4 players in R2. Luke Oakley got that very good 'shock' win and Dan Smethurst suffered a 'shock' loss. And as of now we have 4 players through.

Though for a home futures I'd be hoping the Brits would be a bit in credit ( and as far as I can see we were slightly behind the eightball last week in Glasgow ). So in that respect a little disappointing, though some were heavily outranked.

C'mon Alexis.

Temporary reprieve, Alexis lost 6-3 6-4. Not too bad, but no cigar, and we are left with said 4 in R2.
