Court 2: Evan up 6-3, 2-3 on serve (from reports- I'm not there).

Thanks

Yes, thanks. And glad to see Evan back in shape, even if Jay will be disappointed he couldn't have got it closer.

And 'Go Lukey' !

That was a really long, hard set - hope he's got something left in the tank - will be hard to close it out - but a brilliant battle, from the look of the board.

That's a very decent score by Ryan against the top seed and very experienced French player, who - it should be noted - was as high as WR 154 a couple of years ago.

Luke O is into a third set, as feared.

But is hanging in there - has just broken to lead 2-1 - although there's been a fair few breaks.

But, allez Luke - vamos ! (and any other lingo version)

Dan Smethers lost the first set 3-6.

Josh WH is on serve against the talented young Swede. Would be great if he could get the win today

Add: you beat me to it, Bob smile

After fending off a couple of BPs, Josh WH gets the break.

And Dan S is also now a break up in the second.

Luke back to 3-3 but, with zillions of BPs so far, he's bound to have more....

Just a note on JWH's opponent today - and this has been bugging me for a couple of days - the name Appelgren sounded very familiar. Now it's probably a very common name in Sweden, but there was a famous table tennis player called Mikael Appelgren who was a 4 time world champion. I wonder if there is any connection.
