Lisa's back on court soon to play doubles Qs with the mysterious reappearing Freya Christie, and, I presume, hoping to avoid Barty+, if they make the main draw.

Quite an incredible run through qualifying:

1) Lose the 1st set 6-2
2) Fight back to win the next 2 sets
3) Repeat later the same day
4) Repeat again the following day

... and all in about 40C heat too!

Followed by a fourth match in 48 hours...

and staging another comeback?

After losing the first set 3-6, Lisa and Freya lead 3-1 in the second, against an in-form Indonesian pairing who recently beat Lisa+Totka in Bangkok.

And don't think anyone's mentioned that Freya has a wildcard MD, as anticipated, but has drawn the second seed, Risa Ozaki, WR 131

 ... and then plays the winner of QvSeed8, so that could not be better.

 

But after 11 sets of tennis, taking 10.5 hours, with local temps up to 46C, she's still earned a lot more luck than that.

Think Freya left Israel in quite decent time. More of an issue likely to be her opponent. Very tough draw.
