Week 6 - Spain F3 ($10,000) - Paguera (Clay)

Alex Ward should be in the main draw, unless his injury today was serious.

QR1: James Allemby UNR vs Troels Andersen (DEN) UNR (17yo, never made an impact at Junior level)
QR1: (q12) Billy Harris WR 1192 vs (qWC) Benjamin Niv (BUL) (15yo, ranked 918 in Juniors right now. Damian Rodriguez beat him in Kenya last week so shouldn't be an issue for Billy)

Alex Ward is not in the main draw which certainly suggests that his retirement last week was due to something not altogether minor.

Hope he's OK....

Damn.  Hoping it is not serious, both for Alex's sake and because he is meant to be playing Murcia next week which is my "home" tournament.  At the moment, he is still on the acceptance list.  Fingers crossed.

Alex tweeting this morning that it is "time to see the doc". I am guessing therefore, that it is illness rather than injury that is keeping him out at the moment.

Well done to the youngsters - but do hope that Mr Ward is just temporarily ill.

Billy and Chris lost their dubs final, 6-10, in the MTB

(The 16 and 17 year-old Aussie and Norwegian youngsters have carried on and now made the single semis)
