Gibbs has been in fine form, and is WR24 in the WTA Race. Though Naomi isn't so far behind, at WR60.

Boulais won 17 points in her 60 60 loss today so...

Em is the feature match tonight, second after 7pm local time. Good quality stream for those up

The 15 year old did lose to someone far older and more experienced though. Michaela Gordon, who is all of 16½!

Save two match points but not a third. Em and Sawayanagi lose 62 46 10-8. Two missed putaway volleys driven well long cost them, one from Em at *6-8 and one from Riko at *8-9

That's really sad

Down to about 150 on Monday. Gutted for her. Keep on trucking Em, you can get back up.

Pity, it was great when Em won the Midland title last year with Julie Coin ( glad I checked that before I said Nao Hibino - that was a later in the year 50K triumph )

In the short term, she now has no doubles points to defend until the beginning of May so yes hopefully we will see that ranking rising back up.

Serving well, even that second serve she's varying up the speed and spin.
No break points in the match yet though.
