RE: Week 5 - ITF ($100K) - Midland, USA Hard

Such a well run event; they were aware of the top 100, and Liam's win.
Nice speech from Naomi, and thanking Fitzy, who is some sort of wizard

don't get me wrong I'm over the moon that she's made it into the top 100 but it just makes it even sadder that she's left out in the cold in terms of flying the flag for Britain

It's Naomi's choice and it's complicated, the LTA have offered to help out.

I think I'm the only one who predicted Naomi would overtake Heather this year for GB no2 just like I was the only one who predicted Jo would finish above Hev last year. Funny that I was finished joint bottom overall yet get these things right ha! Naomi with that serve is only going one direction she deserves it and it's another finger up to the LTA and all the middle class prawn sandwich mob in British Tennis. Andy, Jamie, Jo, Naomi all doing it without the backing of British tennis which despite what the media would lead you to believe is really not going anywhere bar the efforts of some of these true professionals.

Well done Naomi could see in her speech what it meant to her and well done Fitzy to in helping her into the top 100.

Ignorant American presenter saying Glasgow is in England but that's the Americans for you when mentioning Liam's win today.

Actually you predicted Hev to finish ahead of Jo in last year's predictions contest.

You also told us often how you'ed predicted Brydan to finish ahead of James, as indeed you did, and in the end he didn't, leaving you unable to join almost all the rest of us in being right on that one.

Be worried, Naomi, be worried

I've found Radio 5 Live to be pretty good this week regarding Kyle, Evo and Naomi's progress and rankings implications.

Gotta love pulling @NaomiBroady first round at an indoor tournament x4KlkZ1.png (18 aces in 2 sets). Too good this week girl, well deserved title. XWAZCrV.png

Meanwhile, the doubles is all a bit after the Lord Mayor's Show at the moment, the youngsters
playing very well.
*1-5

First set gone, Bellis and Neel super high energy and good doubles tactics. Naomi understandably flat; would hep if Shelby could carry the load, but she doesn't seem able to.
2-6
