The choice of next opponents is in one respect similar - they're both Canadians - but otherwise very different.
First up is 44 year old former top 50 player (back last Millennium!), Maureen Drake - obviously inspired with the Kimiko spirit.
The other option is 15 year old Isabelle Boulais. Not a top Junior, she seems to have been playing ITF qualies.
An age gap almost as old as Emily!
Emily, though, should be a strong favourite, one would hope, against either option.
Meanwhile, on a tropical island far, far away, in the apparent absence of Em's 2015 doubles partner, the most obvious replacement is still 10,000ft up a mountain in Hawaii...
Wow was not expecting that! She started as 5/1 outsider and won the second set despite her opponent serving at 91%. To win the match winning about a third behind her second indoors is impressive.
Shame she only gets one point - feels worthy of more!
