If someone asked you: who is the only player on this court not to have made the top 100 in singles yet, do you think anyone would pick Naomi?
She's almost orders of magnitude better than everyone else at the moment.

Yes indeed; all being well Naomi will be world #96 in the next list though
It is to be Robin Anderson in the final. I watched her matches against both Sanford & Falconi. Dangerous; good movement; good defence - will make Naomi hit extra balls; and maybe a high number of overheads - can be pushed back scrambling deep behind the baseline though; smart point construction. An illustrious college career. Her UCLA squad were winners or runners up in the team championship in NCAA Div I in three of her four years in the squad, often due to her almost unparalleled, almost unblemished records in each of the four years. Now that she is a full time tennis player, expect her to progress quickly towards the top 100.

Funnily enough, at Landisville (Naomi's last title), she also beat Shelby Rogers in the semis before playing (and beating) Anderson in the Final!

What a difference 6 months later, though! About to be ranked 101 or 96 on Monday when 194 for Landisville; wonderful fairy tale stuff; Naomi and Jo both :D
Not often I would watch a recorded stream of a doubles match, but that was a worthwhile half an hour. What has been impressive about Naomi's run here is how she has come through the draw to record one of her best ever results without have to be on top form. In contrast, she was absolutely in the zone in the doubles and looked unplayable at this level.
