Yep. Terrific win for Luke. Has has 6 zero counters on his card and only 1 point to defend between now and the middle of May. The only way is up for the moment, which is fantastic to see.
More Brits on court now. Milts breaks Rich G to love in the opening game.
Meanwhile JWH has the tough job of playing the 4th seed, Dubarenco. However, JWH has been on fire in the British Tour with some excellent wins, so don't rule out an upset in this one.
Interesting doubles partnerships - Scott and Rich have split from last week's partnership. Rich and Bambo, Scott partners Jonny
Liam playing with Harry.
Fancy to Soto boys to go well this week in the doubles
Just been looking at Bambo's points breakdown. I knew he came on strong at the end of last year, but I hadn't realized how lopsided his season really was.
He has 1 point to defend in April, 13 in May from reaching the L16 of a Challenger (having come through qualies) and then 2 more point in Sept. That's 16 in total before the end of Sept. His other 56 points all came in the final 3 months of the year.
That leaves so much room to climb the rankings over the next 6-8 months.
Good to see him maintaining that momentum from the back end of last year, with a good win here.

All set out by Yours Truly yesterday evening on the previous page.

I have decided to switch into doom and gloom mood for all JWH's matches - that way reverse tactics might work and he'll get some mega wins !
I don't think this has been reported yet - the missing first round pairing:
L32: (LL) Daniel Appelgren (SWE) WR 827 (= CH) vs (WC) Ewan Moore UNR
Applegren, age 19 and ex-top 50 junior, is not the LL one would have chosen ..... probably good that we don't get the choice !
Good luck to Ewan - who is yet another top GB junior who has barely played an adult match in his life (only two last year?) - it does seem very bizarre .... (I'm assuming there weren't many hidden adult single team matches). Don't really know what the system is thinking ......
