QR1: Lisa Whybourn WR 737 beat Angelina Gabueva (RUS) WR 653 (CH 423 06/13) 7-6(3) 6-1
QR2: Lisa Whybourn WR 737 vs (q1) Yuuki Tanaka (JPN) WR 364 (CH 361 12/15)
Nice win for Lisa though it's point singular so far. Goes to 3 points if she can take out the top qualifying seed and 5 points for qualifying.

Struggling today down 1-5* making lots of errors. Very quirky new service motion to protect the shoulder. Starts with her serving arm raised.

Just caught the end. Very bouncy court.
I don't see too much wrong with Lisa's game, just needs to tidy up the unforced errors. Definitely under ranked.

Lisa (with Slovakian, Mihalikova) was due to play that rarest of encounters, a doubles qualifying round. However, they've just conceded a walkover.

Mihalikova didn't turn up!
Lisa had a lot of break points she couldn't take to make her singles closer, but I agree with Paulisi her game seemed to be back in place, just had a messy match.

Bit tough on Mihalikova, who's been understandably busy winning junior doubles, losing the singles final at the Oz Open.
