Kyle seals the win 7-5 6-1. Apart from getting caught cold with his backhand in the opening game of the match, Kyle was as solid today as Zemlja was erratic. A comfortable win. Another semi and back into the Top 100 on the live rankings.

Nice easy win - looked more up for it, but I reckon that's three consecutive matches where Kyle failed to hold his opening serve.

His slow start was a notable failing last year too - at least once he gets going he can usually make up for it but he'll need to be sharper against the bigger opposition he'll be up against more often this year

Kyle was so delighted to get into the Top 100 last year that he wanted to achieve that feat at least 5 times before moving on biggrin

That match looked suspicious. Nothing to do with Edmund's brilliant play at all imo; he was barely better. Does Zemlja have form?
