Flying visit to check the result.
Well done Kyle - huge congratulations!
And well done Dan for making the final.
Hope to be able to watch the match later on.
What a luxury of an all-Brit final.
Here's to many more!

Watched the final on play back without knowing the result. Kyle played some mazing shots there. Dan maybe not quite at his best but I think a lof of the time he wasn't allowed to be.

I think Kyle is going to be top 50 this year. Dan should crack the top 100. Will be good to see them in more tour events over the coming months.

Kyle was fantastic. Think the scoreline was a bit harsh on Dan, and if he'd broken back in that fourth game it may have been a lot closer. But Kyle played the big points fantastically and then put his foot down to break again to all but seal the win.

Going to be an exciting season, for both of them, I hope.

Well done Kyle and commiserations to Evo.

Anyone got a link to where I can watch the rerun please? Am too inept at present to be able to find it through the ATP Tour site.

Kyle should be ATP Race #13 on Monday, so a rather good overall end to last year and start to this year

And at tines when he has been good Kyle and his fearhand have been very very good - first two sets vs Goffin in the Davis Cup Final and last night vs Evo. If he can consistently bring that form to the table it's going to be a fun year to follow.

Yes.  That one has been around for a couple of years.  Started by one of the coaches I believe.

I've just watched the match.
Great stuff!
I love Mike's commentary - really personal little things and very knowledgeable. Also knows when to keep quiet and let the tennis talk!
Some of our other commentators could do with going to his school!!!

He should be flown over to commentate on Wimbledon qualifying which should be streamed as the AETC gift to the true tennis fan, i don't know whether there are rights issues but I am sure the costs would not be punitive. 50-100K. It doesn't happen anyone know why not?

Mike is an excellent commentator, I'd be happy to listen to him at any tournament, rather than switching the sound off as sometimes I have to.

Phil definitely knows the origin because he has posted about it somewhere, but I can't remember exactly who coined the phrase.  Was it Brad Gilbert ?
