Kyle did face his first break point after Dan attacked and came in on a second serve, but he blasted through the next few points to complete as the commentator said a "fairly dominant" first set 6-3
FINAL: (2) Kyle Edmund WR 102 beat Dan Evans WR 174 by 3 & 2
A stunningly good performance from Kyle in all areas, especially serve and forehand, and seemed a completely different player relative to last week's final. Evo didn't play badly, he was simply outclassed today. The tournament director said at the end that he's been doing it for 18 years and always gets asked who is the best player they've had - for years, he's said Tursunov, now says he might have to revise that
Kyle now goes level with Wardy for 2nd= in Challenger titles by Brits this century with 4 and should jump back into the top 100 to a new career high in the mid 80s on Monday.

Pretty ruthlessly efficient by Kyle, a couple of fairly awful overheads aside. Very well done
Dan did manage just a bit more variation in the second set, but to little consequence and was clearly increasingly frustrated by having little answer to the excellence on the other side of the net. Though yes the audible obscenity call seemed harsh, being not very audible whatever it was.
Overall a great couple of weeks for Kyle, some lessons learned hopefully in last week's final about trying to deal better with difficult situations and conditions ( he will face them often again ) and then the satisfaction of such a final display this week.
Tough for Dan tonight, but he's on a good path again. Keep with it, mate.
Evo (responding to a tweet about what the TD said): "@GBtennis I tell u that he won't have seen a bigger fh in 18 years"
Generally, despite being frustrated for obvious reasons (including the INaudible obscenity point penalty farce), Dan didn't seem too downcast - he knew Kyle was just too good on the day.

Kyle had too much. Well played both, first time I have watched Kyle and Evo not caring about the outcome, and finally as a non biased observer I can confirm he (Kyle) has one well of a forehand!
