Alizé is the girl who beat Naomi at the Aussie Open two weeks ago.

And a lovely person.

But she's had a pretty skinny run of form recently, basically all losses (or nearly) from Oct. 2015 onwards.

And is always a bit unpredictable (and often disappointing)

First set gone.
Tara did not hold serve once, broken 4 times.
4 DF, but only serving 44% and winning 50% of that. Winning 21% of 2nd serve points!
Did have regular chances on the Lim serve.
2-6

Heading in the right direction again, at least, and the focus for attention to re-establish herself further is pretty self evident.
Would be really good to be able to see Tara play, to confirm whether most of her game is actually in pretty good shape.

R2: (Q) Tara MOORE (GBR) 328 lost to Alize LIM (FRA) [3] 159 2-6 2-6

I saw Tara at Shrewsbury. She has all the shots, just lacks the consistency and the mentality to control games. If she can reduce the error count and use a bit of control rather than getting annoyed and trying harder she would be flying up the rankings.

Tara's been around for a surprisingly long time now. Her shoulder injury was very unfortunate. The LTA system and her coach did not help either, in my opinion. Her game, in and of itself, is top 100 material without any problem.
