RE: Week 4 - ITF ($10K) - Saint Martin (Guadeloupe), France Hard

The result was switched as I got notifications that Anna won it and then Barbora a minute later.
3-3 in the second.

Anna does seem to have these big collapses.

Ah, maybe was an overrule or something.

I just looked into bet365 and Anna was ahead in the TB, got to 6-4, the point was shown to her and the set 7-6 and I almost immediately left it and posted here and didn't go back. We've been caught like that before.

Good that it appears I'm not going mad  Bad for Anna

All over now ?

well, Laura D got the doddle easy first round draw last week so I guess it's not that unfair that she gets a nasty one this week.

Victoria's younger sister (Sophie, age 15) has just qualified from the qualis too.

Last week she had 1 match before facing 2nd seed - doddle - should have gone to Specsavers wink

I said 'doddle easy first round draw'   -  'doddle easy FIRST round draw' - which it was.

Apologies to CD - just disappointed with this weeks draw.

It's definitely a tough ask, you're right Strongbow - but R1 is always the best time to take out a top seed, so let's hope.....

I'm with you in rooting for Laura

Ms. Brogan just started.
One of a number of hard working, focused, disciplined and committed young Brits who haven't been able to get much traction of late, for one reason or another.
Perhaps this is the week!
*1-2

Scoreboard was frozen for such a long time.
Goodness what's happened to me! I've become all demanding, I still wel recall the bad old days of, oh 4 years ago when that happened all the time, with the old, old scoreboards, unsanctioned by the ITF - when they was available!

Ahem! That's a fantastic win for Anna, in her top 5 to date.
Most likely to face the top seed, Ramialison WR327 next, so Anna will need to step up if she is to progress. Maybe some JoKo inspiration factor can see her through.
