Should be verrry interesting, great to see Joss and Anna finding such better form at a rather good time
By the way, they are CR 160 (80+80) with WR 69 being their CHs. May well take out these CHs if they reach R3.
Jo, currently WR 106, just in reaching R2 will be taking out her CH 104 and should be comfortably into the top 100.
Heather, currently WR 123, has so far defended her 130 points from last year, and it will be rather a good tournament if she approaches her doubles CH of 45 !

Nice to have two GB pairs in R2 but I hope that Rae/Smith take this one. A R3 slam appearance, after their recent woes, could do wonders for their year.
Joss and Anna's main goal should be to make main draw at all four GS, which should secure their financial futures for the foreseeable future. They were on the cusp here and sneaked in, I expect them to make French main draw and guaranteed Wimbledon via main draw or wildcard. You get $10-15K per team per GS event just for turning up.
Melbourne really doesn't know where it's at with its weather! At least Wimbledon has an excuse (ie its in the UK where cr@p weather is a national treasure and all we talk about).
When a game of tennis does breakout from a Fed cup perspective I would love to see a comprehensive win for Jo and Hev. Two strong singles players with immense potential in doubles to do serious damage, not only in the Fed cup but also in GS MD. Given that the ladies play 3 set tennis there is much more potential to excel at both singles and doubles in GS's. The more Brits playing tennis in the second weeks of slams ( the serious money week) the better!
A bit of success and it covers the cost of a high quality coach for a year which I think is still a significant factor unless you are an established seed.
