I didn't expect that at all! Look forward to the Fed Cup team warm up match!

(I think Heather and Jo will win quite handily though - from what I saw their match was an altogether different quality to Anna and Joss's.)

I thought Jo & Heather played better but they were facing inferior opposition and choked badly in the second set. Anna & Joss were calmer under pressure. Will be an interesting one.

A couple of very nice wins - especially for Joss and Anna to pull out a win in a Grand Slam after their recent struggles.

R2 will be fun to watch as I don't really mind which team wins - but will obviously be an interesting one ahead of Fed Cup, especially if Heather & JoKo were to win easily.

I disagree. Take out the 11 double faults(!) and I think HevJo's opposition were playing much better tennis. The rallies were excellent whereas the quality of the other match left a lot to be desired.

Rae hit some good return winners on key points which basically got them over the line but I thought Anna played pretty poorly throughout. Both Heather and Jo seem to be oozing confidence on a tennis court despite heather's early singles loss (which I think she played really well in too).
