A great afternoon for us, very moving to see all this involved saviour their win and the immense respect articulated by both teams for each other and Andy there with his camera. A fabulous reward and early vindication of some tough choices after the summer.
Hat tip also to Leon his Davis cup doubles partners related and unrelated plus all the LTA coaches around the successful Davis cup team, I don't think winning a substantial trophy can be understated in terms of its impact on motivating those involved to do what needs to be done to repeat it.
1 (1) M Melo 8360 2 (7) J Murray 7660 3 (2) H Tecau 7060 4 (3) J Rojer 7060 5 (4) B Bryan 6770 6 (5) M Bryan 6770 7 (6) I Dodig 6190 8 (9) R Bopanna 5520 9 (8) J Peers 5455 10 (22) B Soares 5160
And looking not too far into the future, it's entirely possible Jamie, as well as beating his brother to a grand slam title, could beat his brother to getting to world #1!
Melo has two semi-final appearances at Indian Wells and Miami to defend soon (720pts), and Jamie only earned 90pts at Miami and didn't play Indian Wells last year.

Yes, Jamie could be looking very good after Miami.
Before we get to IW both Melo and Murray have significant points to defend - notably Melo ATP 500 Acapulco title and Murray ATP 500 Rotterdam RU. Also Jamie could pick up 40 extra net points with a Davis Cup R1 win ( we didn't win the doubles vs USA last year )
So a fair bit of water probably to pass under the bridge before we even get to these two Masters. Be interesting how things then stand though. Jamie will also have to drop his lowest counter at the time to add in this year's Indian Wells.
