But the draw could have been a lot kinder, especially as Fratangelo got the LL spot and ended up playing (Q) Stephane Robert WR 214
Obviously a LL gets the 1st rnd earnings but do they also get a qualifier's points ?
I'll let the expert confirm this, but I don't think so. Neither, I think, do they get the 10 points for a 1st round loss. I think so far, the LL will just get those points accumulated for reaching the FQR.

LLs indeed get the 16 points for reaching the FQR and not the additional 9 points for winning the FQR, but they do get the 10 points for MD R1 losers if they lose then - eg. Luca Vanni, Wimbledon 2015, 26 points.

That's half right! They don't get qualifying points, just the points for reaching the final qualifying round (i.e. 16 instead of 25) but, unlike wild cards, they do also get 10 points for a R1 loss. e.g. the most recent men's lucky loser in a slam before Frat, Luca Vanni, got 26 points (16 + 10) for going out in R1 as a lucky loser at Wimbledon last year - http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/players/luca-vanni/v495/rankings-breakdown
Edit: er, snap!
Still, at least we agree, even to the extent of using exactly the same example

Evans v Lopez - I foresee a lot of sliced backhands! I've not seen him play someone who plays anything like Lopez's style - how do people think they will match up. Evans can hit some great lobs and passes but can he return well enough against as big a serve? Can he make enough backhand passes? I'd like to think he can and that his consistency could frustrate the slightly flashy forehand style of Lopez.
Anyone know of catch up streams available as I probably can't watch matches live.
Won't know for sure until the AO finishes but the 35 points he's netted so far should see him up 10-15 places in the 170-175 bracket, without checking other results etc of those around him and those who may have points coming off. Of course when he lifts the trophy he'll be up around the top 15 anyway
