Jo almost went 4-1, and at the time she was serving 38%
But, that 5th game was crucial in the first set.
Makarova drew massive positives from it, and the energy seemed to drain from Jo.
The Russian confidence markedly changed, and she dominated most of the rest of the set thereafter.

If Jo can serve better, and play like she did in the first 5 games, she still has every chance.

True. Strange, as I've watched her quite a lot in the past, and this is out of character, but she's really acting up today. Somewhere between a Cornet and a Putintseva on the diva scale today.
