A bit worrying since she and Lisa were / are on a few weeks Australia assignment and she would have been into qualifying OK.

I see that she is still on the Aussie 25K list for Week 6.

OK - so what's going on ???

On the acceptance list in Egypt this week, is 17 year-old Ms. Jovana Knezevic - WTA WR 1208 CH 993 a few month's ago

And it claims she's British - although there's mention of Cyprus too, and her US college page seems to refer to Cyprus, and the WTA list Cyprus.

Is this an error ? i.e. should it be Cypriot? Or this a 'new' Brit on the block?

(If she is, then a huge WELCOME to Jovana )

I'd doubt it. How many hitting partners do you need ? As I said above, I still find it slightly concerning for Freya more than anything

Just two wildcards dished out for Glasgow ladies so far - not surprisingly Maia and Katie Boulter

Katie Boulter has got a real problem in getting into tournaments at the moment. I suspect she will get wildcards for the first three 10Ks, however she currently has no WTA ranking and she has no domestic ranking, so she will be right at the bottom of any acceptance list until she either gets a domestic ranking or she gets a WTA ranking.

Do PRs ( or I believe it's SRs for the women ) not extend to where Katie was ranked last January ?

Maia and Katie B are marked as having wildcards into the main draw at Glasgow.

Which is no surprise at all.

No others one marked yet, nor quali WCs either, as far as I can see.

PRs are only offered to players who have been out for more than 6 months and who were ranked 300 or better at the time of the injury.  Not sure where her ranking was when she last played.

The domestic ranking per se doesn't matter outside UK domestic competitions.  She will have a 'UK international ranking' which is based upon her UK rating followed by UK ranking.  This will push her up the list of unranked players in futures.  Even in British Tours her rating will take precedence over her ranking as it is an adult event (domestic junior events only are based just on domestic ranking).

Yes, her LTA rating is 2.1 which is pretty high.

I'm confused now - on the Glasgow acceptance list, she has no national ranking and hence is right down at the bottom of the list behind the likes of Camille Verden Anderson who has nowhere near as much ability as Katie.
