Glasgow looks a bit loaded, primarily because there isn't that much choice around Europe again. I 'll update shortly

Updated with initial entries for ITF - cut off is Tuesday afternoon.

Hoping Glasgow has a lot of drop outs as the women's in particular is loaded and more like a 25k field.

ITF updated - disappointed just 2 women in main draw at Glasgow. Men's draw is loaded - 500 doesn't even make main draw.

Lisa Whybourn will probably get into qualis in Aus

Katy Dunne was down for Grenoble and Glasgow, but has withdrawn from both.

So many of our guys and girls in Glasgow chasing so few points to go around, possibly even less so with such relatively strong peskies about.

Will leave so many pretty disappointed. Just hope we do get some of the bigger points.

This happens for every UK 10/25k event. I suppose they save on travelling, but the bar is very high compared to many events overseas. A million lemmings can't be wrong wink

Most certainly not every one. There have been particularly quite a number of British futures events in the pretty recent past, including 15Ks, which have had almost entirely British draws so at least the Brits have been able to carve up the points amongst themselves.

Now we just have so few, and even these maybe not best timed to avoid major foreign intervention.

A strange fact seems to be that even those players who spend the whole year globe-trotting still like to play here. I'd have thought that, unless you can benefit from a wildcard, it would pay to play elsewhere given the strength of fields - but there you go!

Laura Deigman into main draw in Glasgow, Emily Arb is first alt and likely to get in

I'm pretty sure Maia will get one of the wildcards. Katie Boulter way down the list(no domestic ranking???), but she may be a candidate. Otherwise expect the usual suspects to get wildcards - Beth, Lucy, Emily App, Manisha, Jazzamay.

Yes, the Glasgow event always seems very keen to give wildcards to Scottish players (no problem there).

So Maia seems a slamdunk.

Wonder if Alexandra Hunter or Nastia (or any other Scottish youngster that I can't remember) also has a chance.... after all, they don't need to be on the entry list to get a wildcard.

(Expect quite a few in the qualis too).

Richard Gabb should make main draw now, with Bambo moving to 1st alt

Given these are the Scottish champs - Jonny O'Mara and Bruce Strachan must be in contention for wildcards

PS ref above post, I don't think Alex Hunter is ready for main tour yet. Nasya maybe better suited
