The last R1 singles match saw a GB win:

Boys R1 (L32)

(1) Alexis Canter def. Seon Yong Han (KOR) 6-4 6-4

He lost his dubs, though, despite being top seeds. As did Maria & Megan (against the top seeds)

Doubles wins though for Camille & Eden, and Jack & Finn (Jodie is not doing doubles, nor qualifier, Matt)

three more wins in the singles - all through to the semis

NB Great to see Eden back - think she was injured ? - saw her at the B of E club last summer - very nice game.

Eden did miss a lot of last season and looked rusty when playing qualifiers at the 25K in Shrewsbury

At 17, I would expect her to transition to seniors rather than playing juniors and would expect to see her at her local event in Feb - Wirral 10K

Well, to be honest, all the 17 year-olds should be thinking more about their senior careers next year, than the next 11 months of their last junior year.

Eden is a good athlete, a nice build for tennis, with clean technique. So glad she's fit and well again.

Finn should be on the cusp of the top 100 now, I make it, which for a late 99-er is promising. It's his best counter, so well done to him too.

And good net + points for Alexis too, who should be up to JWR 80 or so.

And then it all went pear-shaped...... :(

Our three semi-finalists all lost today. Finn and Eden in three sets, Alexis in two.

All as expected, save the lack of competitiveness in Alexis's scoreline. Fairly similar scoreline between Zeel and Eden as in their encounter last week

Lingxi Zhao (CHN) d. (1) Alexis Canter 6-4 6-0
(2) Seppe Cuypers (BEL) d. (3) Finn Bass 6-4 2-6 6-3

Girls SF

(3) Zeel Desai (IND) d. Eden Richardson 6-2 3-6 6-2
