I've seen Marcus play well on clay in the Edinburgh furtures in May 2014. He is well capable of the tactical patience and finesse required, and there outlasted and overall outplayed Liam Broady in a good SF ( his second match that day ) before beating Neil Pauffley in the final the next day.
Without checking, I think that he's had some other decent results on clay.
Just would be great on whatever surfaces for Marcus to more achieve his capability this year.
yes, I hope Marcus does well this year and not just because he's in my top 10 (more because I want to support him than anything else) . he has such a lovely style of play.
