Brilliant. Kyle seal the win with an ace to win 6-2 6-3.

One thing that many of us have commented on, is that Kyle still lacks that "stand-out" win from his CV. I think that today is a Career High scalp for Kyle, and whilst Klizan is not a big name, beating a player in the Top 50 by 2&3 is a real step up in my book.

That's 32 points in the bag for Kyle. Hopefully that will be enough to see him back in the Top 100 next week.

But with 130 points coming off during the 1st two weeks of Feb, he is going to have to play well to stay there.  Hope he gets a favourable draw in the Aussie Open.

Let's indeed be excited about Kyle's start to the year. Looking good.

And I wouldn't be bothering about these 130 points. If he has to drop out of the top 100 again before coming back in ( though you never know if he gets more results and decent draws ) so be it. It's a very much longer game and this is a fine start to his year
