Nice start, from Mr Kyle ( Davis Cup winner) Edmund to 2016, good sold win consistent with a player making the challenger to 250 transition.

It is good to see Kyle making such a seemingly solid start to the season, especially after his own Davis Cup Final experience.

Of course a Davis Cup winner and he himself played tremendous for over two sets against Darcis ( edit : or rather Goffin ). But he did have a bit of a meltdown and then had been left out of a potential deciding rubber.

So great to see him 'back on the bike' after a hopefully good close season. And being qualified for the Aussie Open MD helps keep him in the 'big time' and more chance of a big five set match again.

So if Kyle can get through the FQR tomorrow, the MD draw is out and the qualifier spots are:

Leonardo Mayer
Martin Klizan
Robin Haase

and some guy called

Novak Djokovic

Another really solid result from Kyle. Those 12 points could already be enough to see him back in the Top 100. He will now have 580 points and the current Nș 100 (Dudi Sela) has 578. Still a lot of tennis left to be played though this week - hopefully plenty from Kyle as well.
