I saw him beat Aljaz comfortably in Croatia last summer
True he won 4 & 4 but I would like to think that had a lot to do with him raising his level in front of his home crowd. I think they are pretty evenly matched and I would expect Aljaz to match RBA in taking it to 3 sets but hopefully with a better final outcome. I am pretty happy either way to be honest, Aljaz had a lot of points to defend this week and when he drew Pospisil in the first round I feared the worst so regardless it has been a good week.

Absolutely spot on. Ali is defending more than a 6th of his whole points total this week, so to make the semis is pretty good going. Obviously a win tomorrow would turn a good week into a great one
Can't complain at all about 90 points from an ATP 250 in Week 1, in at least reasonable form and with a decent shot at the final here again ( bet365 has Coric at 1/2 and Bedene at 13/8, i.e. Bedene better than a one in three chance of winning the match ).
Good stuff
