James didn't sign in for an LL place and Anderson withdrew leaving Kudryatsev to play Ramanathan for a place in the QFs!! OOPS!

Would love to take credit for understanding rule changes, but in truth, I have no idea what the answer to my question is and I have no idea of the rules - let alone any changes.  I was hoping that "someone in the know" would answer.

 Yes, he would have been the LL as the withdrawal happened long after qualifying was completed.
