Well done, they! That's a good start to the year. And in straight sets, mind.

Really hoping their new strategy for early season events is going to pay dividends. This is an excellent start.

SF:  Johan Brunström & Andreas Siljeström (SWE/SWE) CR 208 (112+96) vs (4) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 202 (100+102)

The Swedes saw off the second seeds, Marcelo Demoliner & Freddie Nielsen, in straight sets in their QF.  Not an easy match...

More good early season signs for Skupski Bros Senior.

Got my suspicions that his win coupled with the 1st round loss of Nadal/Verdasco in Doha, should see Neal rejoin Ken in the Top 100.

Eye catching scoreline, really feel that the brothers are reinvigorated to make a big push this year, exciting to see where they can get to, great start to the year.

As I'd feared:

SF:  Johan Brunström & Andreas Siljeström (SWE/SWE) CR 208 (112+96) defeated (4) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 202 (100+102) by 2-6 7-6(2) [10-8] cry

Not a bad scoreline, though, against a more-than-decent team. Feels as if they are getting back into the swing well.

One of those you may have a couple of times a year, when you create all the chances but somehow the opposition sneak an unmerited victory.
