Careful who you cheer for. Chesca is, in fact, German, not British.

To be honest, I don't know much about her other then the fact her ITF profile lists her as German.

From the LTA player listings, Anna has just turned 15, and is based in Leicestershire. There is info on tournaments going back to 2008, so I reckon she counts as at least 50% British ;)

So, when she wins she's British, when she loses she's German, right?

Nah, I'd let her be British even if she loses

But she's not.....:(

However, in the all non-Brit final:

Athena Nathalia (INA) def. Anna Chesca (GER) 6-2 6-1

Serena seems to be improving steadily. I saw her play at Felixstowe. Will be interesting to see how she gets on at college in the US

I agree. I saw her play at Sutton, earlier this year.

And thought that if the LTA doesn't sponsor (to some extent, at least) players like her then they should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes, other, more polished, players will often beat her at the moment but she has tons of talent.

Good luck to her in the States.

Pity she isn't entered for the upcoming Sutton event, I would have looked out for her
