Remus has all the chance of being a new 'fave' (partly because it's a great name.....)

Anyway, he keeps going, defeating the 6th seed:

Quarter-final:

Remus COPE (GBR) (q) def. Paulius MATULEVICIUS (LTU) [6] 3-6 6-3 6-1

Jo-Jo lost out in the girls:

Quarterfinal

Farah YASSER ABD EL WAHAB (EGY) [1] def. Jonea BACH (GBR) [7] 6-1 6-2

But is into the finals of the doubles:

Semifinal

Jonea BACH (GBR) / Draginja VUKOVIC (SRB) [4] def. Caterina Luisa ROKKE (NOR) / Laura VETTER (SUI) 6-3 1-6 [10-6]

In Ecuador, George lost a heart-breaker:

R2:

Bruno PESSOA (BRA) def. George DAVIS (GBR) 1-6 6-3 7-6(4)

Unforunately, Remus lost both his finals (the doubles by a whisker) but I bet he's had a great week, all the same - this was only his second singles tournament of the year (only played a couple before that too) so as an unranked qualifier, he's done well

NB for those who like words and a smile, his French doubles partner's name (Pognon) is the normal French colloquial word for 'dosh' or 'wonga' or 'lolly' or whatever you call a nice wodge of money.
