Continuing in style

Gabi's 7 points so far here and accumulated 21 points should take her up to close to WR 750 based on the current rankings list. The title, and thus 26 points, would quite likely take her into the top 700, taking out her CH 717, which is very much based on last year's Wimbledon QR1 win.

Fantastic result and it has been coming. The future of ladies tennis is very positive, we seem to have lots of players that are capable of breaking into the top 500. Some will push on from there....

Mega congratulations, Gabi !

Hope it's a lovely trophy.

Gabi seems to have a very good set-up in Spain, and a sensible team around her, and with parents who are making a big commitment (lifestyle, I mean, though no doubt financially as well)

She so nearly beat Naomi Broady this summer (although it's true Naomi was not having one of her better days, to say the least.....).

Such a shame that Fran had to come up against her in R1.
